Last week I was very sick.
Somehow, I had caught corona and couldn’t do anything for seven days. I was just too sick.
I asked my parents if I could come and visit them so I would have someone to take care of me and I wouldn’t feel so lonely.
And boy did they care for me!
They put me in a separate room (so as not to get sick themselves), and then tried to make my life as good as possible. My mom made delicious pancakes and the best pizza she’d ever made. My dad made fires in the chimney, even cleaning the glass before lighting it (for extra coziness) ✨
Last week was just one expression of how much my parents care about me, and I am very grateful for them.
Who are you thankful for? Let’s reflect on that this week.
💡 Reflecting on Gratitude
(Like always, you can download the Notion template of this issue of Grow Your Mind to take structured notes.)
What are three things you're genuinely grateful for in your life right now, and why?
Write them down and spend a few minutes just thinking about them. You can also close your eyes.
Who needs to be acknowledged in your life?
Who do you feel grateful for? Reach out to them and express your gratitude. How can you express your gratitude to them in a meaningful way? Do it now.
In what ways can you practice gratitude on a daily or weekly basis?
Practicing gratitude regularly is one of the most effective ways to improve your personal well-being. Are there any rituals you find particularly effective?
🙏 Thanks!
Thank you for reading and for being part of Mental Garden. As always, I sincerely hope you found this email useful.
I’m back to 99% – I recovered quite quickly after the week with my parents. Thank your own parents, they probably love you very much.
As always – with gratitude,
Marc
