Surprise yourself today.
For this week, we’re going to revisit our personal Yearly Reflection. Let’s check in – what were our thoughts at the beginning of this year? What were our hopes, what were our goals?
I have to admit that I only recently completed my own Yearly (almost half a year late!), so everything is still fresh in my mind. That said, I cannot recommend doing it that late, as half of the year I planned was already over 😅
I’m curious what you’ll find when you open your own Yearly. Maybe something magical? ✨
Here we go 👇
💡 Reflecting On Your Yearly Reflection
(Like always, you can download the Notion template to take structured notes.)
What thing from your Yearly do you want to remind yourself of more often?
Read through your Yearly and write down anything that seems important or stands out. Like things you wanted to do but didn't, or insights you had while reading. How can you make your notes actionable?
What surprised you?
Anything that’s still true that you don’t remember writing down?
What has changed?
Are there things that are different now because of new priorities or other changes in your life? Anything new that needs to be added or removed?
🙏 Thank you!
Thank you for reading and for being part of Mental Garden. As always, I sincerely hope you found this email useful.
If you haven’t done a Yearly Reflection during the last six months, I encourage you to do a shorter mid-year reflection now for the first half of this year. This is a great way to get a sense of clarity about what you want from the rest of the year.
Until next time!
With gratitude,
Marc
PS: On a personal note, even though I just finished the Yearly myself, I uncovered a deep desire to go to a mediation retreat again this year. So that's my intention for the fall, let's hope it works out 🤞
